  4. Since students use this platform, It would be great if it allows peers to collaborate and work in the same place. Google docs options like viewing, editing can be allowed

  6. The URL for a publication includes a slug consisting of hexadecimal values and hyphens.

I'd like to be able to specify a more aesthetically pleasing or memorable URL.

  7. It would be amazing to follow people or categorize them into a favorite folder, and follow them with their new dashboards, and new ideas.
This would help people to improve their code, improve their ideas and have a "repository" like folder where they can find the things they want to print or approach in their data.

  8. DataCamp Data Connector data is stored in AWS S3 buckets, so it would be helpful if the aws.s3 package was installed in R workspaces, and the s3-bucket package was installed in Python workpaces.

  11. I tried to add the tag 'hide_input' to cells but it does not seem to work. It should be hiding the contents of the cell, while allowing to display them with a button.

  17. When working locally in R, I have a .Rprofile file to customize startup. While I can upload this into a Workspace, it's too much hassle to bother with for every Workspace I open. I want to write a custom startup file once, have it associated with my profile so that it is automatically included in any Workspace I create.

    • Might need a vanilla option for opening Workspaces to disable this behavior.
    • Also need a Python equivalent with the PYTHONSTARTUP environment variable set to find it.
    • For shared Group Workspaces, would probably need an Rprofile.site file that can be edited by…

  18. Currently, when you delete a Workspace there is no way to restore them if you make a mistake, which has the potential for disastrous accidental deletion of useful work.

A recycle bin feature would allow you to remove clutter without the worry that deletion decisions are final.

  19. Some tasks, like package development, don't lend themselves nicely to Jupyter notebooks. For those sorts of tasks, a full IDE is more helpful.

In theory, I can open an R Workspace and use RStudio for Python development work, but that feels odd.

I want a proper Python cloud IDE - the ones used in DataCamp IDE Exercises would be suitable.
